Privacy Policy

Effective date: 16 May 2026 · Last updated: 16 May 2026

ViaVia is a broker marketplace for Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have in the app.

1. What we collect

Account: phone number (E.164), full name, city, account type, optional company name, and optional self-declared RERA ID.

Listings & requirements: property and buyer-need details you enter, including photos, optional PDF brochures, locality, and private fields such as full address or client notes (kept out of public feeds).

Device & service data: push notification token, in-app notification preferences, and technical logs needed to run the service.

Phone contacts (network visibility): If you grant contacts permission, we process phone numbers from your address book to determine which of your contacts already use ViaVia. We use one-way cryptographic hashes for matching where possible; we do not publish your contact list to other users. You can revoke permission in device settings and stop future sync from the app.

2. Listings, media & documents

Photos you upload are stored to show your listings. PDF brochures you attach are stored and may be opened by other signed-in users who can view that listing. Do not upload documents that contain someone else's personal data without permission.

3. Location & maps

We use Google Maps and Google Places to show listings on a map and to help you pick localities when creating posts. Map pins may show an exact location or an approximate area placement when only an area is provided. Private address lines you enter are not shown on public listing cards.

4. AI-assisted extraction

If you paste a broker message to autofill a property or requirement, that text is sent to our servers and processed with Google Gemini to suggest field values. Suggestions can be wrong — you must review every field before publishing.

5. Matching & map intelligence

Match scores and map demand hints are computed from your listings, requirements, and platform rules. They are informational only and do not guarantee availability, price, legal clearance, or that a deal will complete.

6. Contact & unlock requests

Other users request your contact through in-app unlock requests. Your phone number is shared with a requester only after you approve that specific request.

7. Reports & safety

If you report a listing, requirement, user, or app issue, we store your report category, optional notes, optional screenshot, and context about the item reported.

8. What is visible to others

Listing visibility (Public / Network / Private) controls who can discover your posts in search, map, and matching — not whether your phone number is shown. Phone numbers are not shown on public profile cards. Contact details are shared only through the unlock flow when you approve a request.

9. Notifications

We use Expo push services to deliver alerts you opt into, such as matches, unlock requests, and responses. You can adjust notification preferences in Settings.

10. Analytics & crash reporting

When enabled, we send product analytics to PostHog using a scrubbed payload. Crash and performance data may be sent to Sentry with similar scrubbing.

11. Account deletion

You can delete your account from Settings → Delete account. This removes your active listings and requirements from public view and signs you out. Some records may be retained where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or unresolved reports.

12–15. Retention, security, processors, children

We use access controls (including row-level security) and TLS. Processors may include Supabase, Twilio (SMS login), Google (Maps, Places, Gemini), Expo (push), Sentry, and PostHog. ViaVia is for users aged 18 and above.
